What stops me from exercising regularly? Going to the gym. I don't know the machines any more, I don't own (nor do I want to own) exercise clothes and I don't want to sweat or feel pain like gym-goers seem to like. BUT, I do want to do what's right for my bones and muscles. I do want to feel secure and balanced when I move. I do want to participate in fun with the kids and g
randchildren.
Dana makes it all work. I wear comfortable clothes, I go to Dana's facility in a private home. I work with Dana for an hour twice each week, doing routines that she has tailored to me and my goals. No sweat. No soreness. But we've documented significant changes in strength and balance already after just one 10-session package. I find that I want to keep this activity going, because I really like how I'm feeling, and I have to admit that I'm enjoying the challenge. Never thought I'd say that.

Dana makes workouts fun. She has been creative in her approach to keeping me interested and challenged. She has listened to my individual needs and adjusted my workouts accordingly.

I was nervous about working with a personal trainer. I had built an elaborate and intimidating picture of a “trainer” from the grueling torture featured on the television program The Biggest Loser and what I imagine Boot Camp to be like. But after my first session with Dana, all nerves and trepidation were wiped away. Dana eases you into the experience through caring conversation and attention to your physical capabilities. She continually pushes your boundaries, but never too far. If it weren’t for the sore muscles and the sweat dripping from my brow, I would hardly know I was exercising. What I get from working out with Dana is increased strength, balance, confidence in my own body, and the added bonus of relief from the day’s stress. I really enjoy working with her. She brings sanity to my week.

Dana is a thoughtful listener and all of her physical challenges have a purpose. She is very motivating as well as fun to work with. She prepared me well for my second knee replacement in 8 months. She helped me recover quickly from my first replaced knee.
